Our Story

Owner Chris Gridley started his career in the fuel industry, managing new fuel tank installations. After 10 years, Chris decided to switch gears and start a sign business. With 35 cents found in his car, he used a payphone to call Northwest Sign Supply (now known as Grimco), and was approved for the purchase of a vinyl plotter/cutter machine. He hit the ground running from there.
With a foot in the door of the fuel industry, service station conversions have been a main focus and specialty for our company. Working with clients such as Nom Nom, Divine’s, Pacific Pride and many smaller locally-owned gas stations throughout the Northwest.
Locally owned in Spokane, WA, since 1998, Grid Mark Signs has seen consistent growth and was able to move from a humble converted house to a much larger facility in 2020. Allowing us to better take care of our customers with electric, manufacturing, and the original bread and butter of our business, print and vinyl.
The Spokane community has given a lot to our company. Allowing for consistent and meaningful growth and expansion. We are proud to give back by investing in Salvation Army’s Backpacks for Kids, Junior Acheivement Scholarships, and the Shriners.
